Carol Ann Taylor - a BIO |

Hello
I am Carol Ann Taylor, artist, now living and painting in
North Norfolk having moved from my long time
home in West Surrey about five years ago.
I continue to paint in an
impressionist style inspired by the delightful land and sea-scapes all around me in Norfolk.
The lovely greens in the deciduous woodlands, fresh undulating landscapes, the open blue skies reflecting
across salt marshes and the turbulent blue greys of
the North Sea waves as they pound the shoreline; All
inspire me to capture their beauty.
Not forgetting Norfolk's unique cliff views with swooping seabirds,
sometimes tempered by the calm sparkling seas of summertime.
All delight and an inspiration to my passion for painting.
This passion for painting has evolved over many years. During teacher training
at Roehampton, I studied art as a special subject. From
there my career as a teacher and artist grew. Teaching in primary education in west Surrey,
I enjoyed every opportunity to teach art and craftwork skills to
children in class. Later, when teaching part-time,
I began to enhance my artistic skills and
develop my own impressionistic style and technique using
acrylics, pastel, charcoal and sometimes oil mediums.
I have always loved the challenge of capturing the movement and energy of equestrian subjects.
Wild horses and race horses feature in many of my paintings through which I have exhibited
several times as a Friend of the Society of Equestrian Artists and demonstrated equestrian
drawing at Ascot Race Course.

and also in London where I exhibited at the Mall Galleries with the Society of Women Artists.
And so, to Sheringham in North Norfolk, where I continue painting at my home studio and

way to enhance and complement your home and decor. An
additional splash of colour for sitting room or

a stairway or a complement the soft furnishings for the bedroom or study to help with
those contemplative moments.
